Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Chimba ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Chimba Is

Chimba is an AI-powered translation tool delivered via WhatsApp. It translates Colombian Spanish messages into English and helps you craft replies in regional dialects. The Service is designed to assist with informal communication and cultural understanding.

3. AI-Generated Content

All translations, explanations, and replies are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy:

• Translations may not be 100% accurate, especially with heavy slang, sarcasm, or ambiguous context.
• Chimba should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or any other critical communications.
• You are solely responsible for how you use the translations and replies provided.

4. No Message Storage

We do not permanently store the content of your messages. Temporary session data is held in memory and expires automatically within 1 hour. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Chimba to:

• Engage in harassment, threats, or illegal activity
• Impersonate others or misrepresent translations
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or overwhelm the Service
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law

6. Subscriptions & Billing

• Free tier: 3 translations at no cost.
• Chimba Pro ($5/month): 500 translations, 1,000 reply crafts/refinements per month.
• SuperChimba ($15/month): Unlimited translations, replies, and refinements.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you have concerns.

7. Limitation of Liability

Chimba is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:

• Inaccurate translations or misunderstandings resulting from use of the Service
• Any damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content
• Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 30 days preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Chimba at any time for violation of these terms or for any reason at our discretion.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Chimba after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
